Projectors For Every Moment

Epson asked us for ideas to promote their latest laser projector, part of the new EpiqVision Mini range, complete with Android TV™ and sound by Yamaha. The brief was to tap into the aspirational, youth-led, Gen Z market. So, for a campaign launch as bold as the projector technology itself, we developed a storyline following a day in the life of an inspiring young sportsman and entrepreneur.

An advert in four parts – easily split for social edits – reflecting the adaptability of the projectors as they’re used for sports training, working from home, gaming and cinema-scale home entertainment.

We got busy behind the scenes, casting on-screen talent remotely during lockdown, scouting and selecting interesting urban locations, set building, and taking advantage of the last of the British Summer to shoot sun-filled scenes.

In collaboration with Epson’s European marketing team, from early idea through every stage of the production, we worked hard to ensure that, while shot in London, the content has global scope and engagement.

Key to the project was finding the right man to play the lead. Jordan Matteson (repped by Atmosphere) stood out – an athlete who backflips out of bed in the morning – as well as being a gentle soul who, along with his real-life PT and friend Jay Nubian, was a joy to work with.
