EE announced the launch of its first Game Day on Sunday 5th November 2023, an annual celebration of gaming culture, with deals and savings launching that day on the latest consoles, games and accessories. Led by four of the nation’s top Twitch streamers, the treasure hunt saw 13 EE game chests hidden in secret locations, with the clues uncovered during a live Twitch stream. The livestream kicked off with a mixed reality gaming stunt performed in Leeds’ iconic Millennium Square, devised by Havas Play & Nexus Studios, with performances, choreography and costume by Swamp Motel, creative direction by Shynola, and production by Citizen Films. EE partnered with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity), gifting a game chest full of gaming goodies to the hospital and promoting a fundraiser during the livestream for a world-leading new Children’s Cancer Centre.
